To create parts of the virtual exhibition and the new section of the site we want to offer you a concrete way to be involved.
Here’s what it consists of:

1.You can send us your own specially created contribution.
2.You can send us contributions about works that refer in some manner to Fr. Giussani.
3.You can send us contributions from relevant personalities reflecting on the figure of Fr. Giussani.

1.

Your specially created contributions. To create them we ask you to answer this question:

Today, who is Fr. Giussani for you?

The contributions can be individual or collective. You may choose freely from these forms: texts, photographs with short captions, audio-visual pieces, or audio only.

SUGGESTIONS FOR VIDEO (AND AUDIO) FILES

You may use any device, from a cell phone to a professional television camera. If using a cell phone, it is best to shoot the video in landscape mode.
Look to set it in a clear context: domestic, open air, with friends, in front of an image or a page from a book that has some sort of link to what you wish to say, in a place that has a particular meaning, and so on (essentially: avoid having only the speaker in shot).
Yet you may wish to play with more symbolic or imaginative language.
The style and form is at your discretion: you can stick to an objective and “report” format, or give space to your creativity (within the bounds of common sense). Avoid using soundtracks or performing songs, as this can cause copyright issues. (this also goes for audio files).
You may shoot the content yourselves, or seek professional support.
Take care with your audio: ensure that all words are audible and that the speaker’s voice is loud enough.
Ambient sound may be audible but take care that it does not overlap the speaker’s voice.
Always check the microphones are switched on and functioning correctly.
Do not add musical accompaniments or soundtracks to the video. However, music is allowed if it constitutes an integral part of your content. This also goes for the use of graphics.
Verifique sempre a abertura e o funcionamento dos microfones.
Do not use effects such as fades in or out; use “clean” cuts.
LANGUAGES

Audio and video contributions must be accompanied by a transcription of the recorded speech.
We thus ask to attach a file with the text of the audio contribution. Of course, the audio of the filmed content should be in your native language.
We would ask you to provide transcription in one of these five languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese .
If your contribution is not in one of these languages (for example German or Arabic), seek help to obtain a translation of the text.
It would further be very useful to us, if possible, to receive an Italian translation of the text.
TIMINGS AND CONDITIONS

The deadline for accepting contributions is October 15th, 2021 . We are unable to accept contributions beyond that date.

The actual use of all contributions sent or the full or partial use of any individual contribution will be at the sole discretion of the Centenary secretary.

It is possible that any individual contribution, or any part, may be selected to be shared on social media. This decision, too, will be the responsibility of the Centenary secretary, and similarly at the secretary’s discretion.

There will be no compensation or reimbursement of expenses. Any registered member may upload multiple contributions, and do so at different times.

It will not be possible to review a video once it has been uploaded.
PLEASE NOTE

All uploaded content must be accompanied by a relevant waiver.
Conditions pertaining to the waiver and privacy will be effective from the moment the contribution is uploaded.
